How to Include Four Legged Friends in Your Wedding
Your wedding is a special day in your life where you come
together with all the people who are important to you. It is a heartwarming day
where all those who mean the most to you get to share in the joy and love as
you get married. And who better to help you celebrate your special day than
your eternally loyal four legged friend?! Being able to incorporate your little
fur baby into your wedding makes a day where two people become a family even
more sentimental. Here are a few of our favorite ways some couples have
incorporated their furry friends into their big day.
'Til Death Do Us Part: How to Throw a Classy Hallowedding
A Halloween wedding is not for a bride who is faint of heart.
Some autumn brides might shy away from this theme but a bride who is daring
enough to take on the challenge is rewarded with lots of treats and no tricks.
Whether you want to keep the theme mild with gothic touches or go all out and
pay homage to your favorite holiday, here are a few ideas to get you in the
Designer Spotlight: Sophia Tolli
One designer that we are constantly getting inquiries about
from our brides is Sophia Tolli. With her exceptional materials, extravagant
bead work, and elegant details, there is not question why she is a favorite
amongst our brides. All of our consultants love her work so much that we
insisted on having a special in store trunk show to showcase these incredible
and original designs. From lace to tulle, to sexy and sweet, Sophia Tolli’s
collection offers a style that will suite any bride’s taste. We picked three
styles that we loved from Sophia Tolli’s Collection that we think truly speak
to the designer’s motto of “Unparalleled
Craftsmanship, Exceptional Fit”.
Handy Dandy Wedding Planning Tips
Okay, serious question: how on Earth did brides plan their wedding before Pinterest?! With everything from bridal gowns to invitations to unique favors, Pinterest is chock-full of ways get you inspired. Even before you were engaged you probably had a wedding inspiration board with dozens of pins (don’t feel bad we are just as guilty as you are), but now that you are engaged those pins actually have the opportunity to turn into a reality. Besides hundreds of thousands of beautiful wedding inspiration photos,
Pinterest is also a great source for some helpful diagrams, charts, and
checklists that can make your wedding planning a little less stressful. Here
are a few charts we have pinned to our Deborah’s Bridal “Wedding Planning Tips and Tricks” Board that we think might be helpful for our brides.
Fall in Love with Autumn Weddings
Summer is typically known as the season of weddings, but
lately we have noticed a rise in the number of Deborah’s Bridal brides who are
planning a fall ceremony. We decided to investigate further into what was
convincing so many brides to plan their big day in the most colorful season of
the year (our original hypothesis had something to do with Pumpkin Spice
Lattes) and it didn’t take long for us to realize what the appeal was. Here are
a few of the most enchanting and vibrant ideas that show how fall weddings can
be bushels of fun!
How to Survive Rain on Your Wedding Day
Picture this: The day has finally arrived and you are about to marry the love of your life. You’re wearing the stunning gown you purchased at Deborah’s Bridal, your makeup artist created the perfect “I want to look like Kim Kardashian but I don’t want to wear a lot of makeup” look, and your hair dresser used approximately 200 bobby pins and 3 cans of hair spray to recreate that exact hairstyle you pinned to your Pinterest board the day after you got engaged. You are getting excited about the big moment and as you take a quick peak out of the bridal suite window to look at the venue that’s when you notice them: the big ugly storm clouds that are rolling in. But you are in luck because you read this blog post while you were making wedding plans and got some ideas on how to make the most out of rain on your wedding day!Read full post

Planning Your Big Day From Hundreds of Miles Away
A wedding doesn’t need to include hundreds of guests to make it feel like an extra special day for the bride and groom. Planning a destination wedding is one way to drastically decrease the number of guests who will be able to attend your wedding but that’s not to say it will in anyway decrease the importance of the big day. Sometimes smaller, more intimate nuptials with a couple dozen of your closest friends and family can make the big day a little more special. Not to mention, planning a destination wedding is often times thousands of dollars cheaper than a local ceremony and reception!
Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning your special day from hundreds of miles away...
2015 Wedding Trends: Art Deco
In 1925 at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes a
new style of art and architecture known as Arts
Décoratif (later shortened to simply Art Deco) was brought to light. The new design style which
emphasized color, geometry, and order skyrocketed in popularity and was
embraced by artists, architects, and designers around the globe. In the
1960s, Art Deco made a comeback when people embraced the grand, luxurious, and modern
style in countless areas ranging from interior design to jewelry. Now, almost a
century after its original introduction, Art Deco is making a second resurgence
in a beautiful way: weddings.
The Big Debate: Floral Crown or Veil?
Our consultants at Deborah’s Bridal say: BOTH!Who says you have to decide between the traditional look of
a veil and the beauty of a flower crown? At Deborah’s Bridal we are strong
supporters of mixing classic bridal accessories with stylish new trends. After
all, there are plenty occasions when you can rock a floral crown (can anyone
say “Coachella”?) but there is only one special day that you can wear a veil!
The Third Most Important Person at the Wedding
Mom was probably one of the first people you called the
second that ring was on your finger and she’s been by your side through the
whole process since then. You’ve turned to her dozens of times for her opinion
on everything from the font of the place cards to choosing your wedding dress. Your
wedding day is a special day for her too, so its important to make sure she
looks and feels beautiful. We asked one of our consultants, Caryn (we like to
call her “The Mom Whisperer”), for some tips on how to make sure mom looks her
